Thanks for visiting our web site. Your firearms and related training needs are our business. Whether you’ve never used a gun before or you are highly experienced in firearms usage, we’re here to serve you.
We operate a gun shop and shooting ranges.
The Gun shop is open from 10am to 6pm Tuesday – Saturday and the shooting range is open from 10am to 6:00pm Tuesday – Saturday.
We take our last shooters by 5:30pm.
WINTER HOURS: Tuesday – Saturday: 10:00am to 5:30pm. We take our last shooters by 5:00pm.

WHAT WE OFFER AT CHANDLER’S:
Our FFL Transfers (Receiving or Shipping)
FFL Fees Sending or Receiving: $40.00 per firearm for public.
FFL Fees Sending or Receiving: $20.00 per firearm for Gun Club Members.
FFL transfers must be picked up from 10:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday – Saturday.
We ONLY accept FFL Transfers from another FFL Dealer.
We DO NOT accept firearms from any individual.
Texas License to Carry Course
The process of obtaining your Texas LTC requires attending a class, shooting proficiency, completing an application with Texas DPS & electronic fingerprints.
Gun Ranges
Range Fee: $15.00 for the day
The pistol ranges are 3, 7 and 15 yards.
The rifle ranges are 25, 50 and 100 yards.
WE DO NOT ALLOW SHOTGUNS, 50 cal or full auto
Gun Memberships
Family $125.00
Veterans/ Military/Fire Fighters/ Law Enforcement / 1st Responders / Public School Teachers $100.00
Family: husband/wife children under 18.
NRA Certified Training
We offer both scheduled classes and we can arrange for private classes upon request. (See Classes at Chander’s for more information.)
Texas Hunter Education Classes
This is the State of Texas mandated hunters’ safety education course for all hunters born on or after September 1, 1971. (See Classes at Chandler’s for more information.)
Legacy Outfitters
The Legacy Outfitters Pistol & Rifle Group meet at Chandler’s Shooting Ranges the 1st Tuesday of each month at 4:00pm. Please contact www.legacyoutfitters.org.
Classes at Chandler’s
Following are classes we offer. We have scheduled classes throughout the year. Private classes are available.
License to Carry Classes
- Classroom Instruction
- Handgun Proficiency
- Handout given to students to help with DPS Application
- Needed for class: Cap, Protective Glasses, Hearing Protection, 1-box (50 Rounds) of Ammunition & Firearm
- Laws, regulations, dispute resolution and the use of deadly force will be covered in class.
- The “shooting” part of the class involves firing 50 rounds of ammunition. You will fire 20 rounds from 3 yards, 20 rounds from 7 yards, and 10 rounds from 15 yards.
- If you do not have experience operating a weapon, you will need to take the Beginner Handgun Lesson(s) prior to taking the License to Carry course. The LTC course is not the class to learn how to shoot. We have several classes during the year for this, but with enough notice, we can arrange a private class if necessary.

Hunter Safety Education Course
- Description: The State of Texas established mandatory Hunter Safety Education a number of years ago, according to this regulation, every hunter (including out-of-state hunters) born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, must successfully complete a Hunter Education Course.
- Length and Cost: 6 hour Class, $15.00 (cash only) per person
- Age: Minimum age of certification is 9 years. Children 14 years and younger must be accompanied in class by an adult.

NRA Classes
February 22, 2025 – NRA Range Safety Officer Class

Course Prerequisites
NRA Range Safety Officers should be experienced shooters, involved in many aspects of target shooting, training and range supervision. The NRA encourages active shooters to learn more and become responsible for the safety of fellow shooters through this program.

April 26, 2025 – NRA Basic Pistol Course

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation and is available for delivery in two ways.
This class will be taught the traditional, instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end.
Instructor Led Only Training: The Instructor Led Only takes place in a
traditional classroom and range environment
CHILDRE RIFLE CLASS
When June 22, 2025
Time: 1:00pm to 3:00pm SUNDAY
Cost: $50 per child
What to bring: Ear and eye protection or you may purchase in the gun shop.
This class will teach the fundamentals of safe firearm handling, accuracy, and handling of rifles. This class is meant for children ages 10-12 but accommodations can be made for siblings or children who are at the age when learning firearm safety is critical.
The class will be an one hour of classroom instruction cover topics such as firearm safety rules, handling of firearms, loading and unloading, cleaning, and other topics. This will be followed by an one hour of range time with range safety officers working with each child to ensure a safe environment and to give each child the time to understand the process and concepts taught. All rifles will be .22lr.
Rifles and ammunition will be provided. The class fee will be $50 per child, this covers the instructors fee, the range time for the class, ammo cost, and the use of all rifles, as well as all other cost of the class.
Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend the class.
